This is a photo of my sisters and I that I brightened using photoshop. By brightening the photo the three of us pop out of the image.
The original photo's darkness did not represent the bright, cheery moment that was captured. The background captures the viewers attention more than we do because we are too dark and muted.

This photo was sharpened using photoshop. The detailes of the grass and the brick are more clear after being sharpened.

The original photo is more soft and blended. It lost it's detail after being scanned into the computer.
Using the burning and dodge tool, this photo was edited to make the little girls face to the right the same brightness as her sisters. The socks were burned to make them dimmer and less of a focal point in the photograph.

Here is the original photo. Notice how the face of the little girl in white is washed out. This photo was cropped using photoshop from the bigger picture below.

The uncropped version is a little more awkward. My other sister looks unnatural in the picture and the limb of my dog jets out into the lower right hand corner in a weird way.

So that the third little girl does not feel left out, we can create her own picture by cropping her out of the photo. After cropping, she needs to be "burned" so show more depth and coloring in her face and then the whole photo was adjusted using the curve option.
